Check-in at the airport
Airport check-in is offered free of charge at all airports served by SATA. The opening and closing times of the counters are as follows:
- Inter-island flights - the counter opens 90 minutes and closes 30 minutes before departure.
- Flights to Madeira and the Canary Islands - the counter opens 120 minutes and closes 45 minutes before departure

Online check-in
You can check in online yourself via your mobile phone or computer. Check-in is available 48 hours before departure and the latest you can generate your boarding pass is 75 minutes before departure.
You can keep your boarding passes on your phone and show your QR code from your mobile phone screen at the airport.

Seat selection
You can choose your specific seat on the plane for free at check-in.
If you have a connecting flight with Azores Airlines, TAP or a more complicated routing (for example, a multi-city ticket with several Azores crossings), changing your seat online is not usually possible.
However, you can request a specific seat on the plane at no charge during check-in at the airport.
