Hainan Airlines in a nutshell

Hainan Airlines is China's largest private airline and ranks around the 10th largest airline in all of Asia based on fleet size.

Despite its size, Hainan Airlines is not yet a member of any airline alliance.

As the name suggests, the company is headquartered on Hainan Island in southern China, but its largest bases are in Beijing and Xi'an.

The airline's fleet includes Boeing 737-800/MAX-8, Boeing 787, Airbus A330 and, in the future, the Chinese-made Comac C919.
