On selected long-haul flights from Europe, South America, Asia, Australia and Africa, you get one free checked bag weighing up to 23 kg.
However, from the end of 2017, on most routes from Europe to North America a checked bag is not included in the lowest "Basic" fare. If you select the more expensive "Main Cabin" fare, which is approximately 55 eur to 73 eur more expensive, you will no longer have to pay extra for checked baggage up to 23 kg (only on routes between Europe and North America, for the rest baggage is also charged in "Main Cabin"), see detailed information.
Short flights within the USA, to Canada, Mexico and some nearby Caribbean destinations charge checked baggage at 25 usd per flight, long flights from Europe at 60 usd per direction (not per flight).
