Bulgaria Air flights

Boarding, Bulgaria Air

Bulgaria Air is one of the more expensive carriers.

However, it can offer favourable prices in cooperation with other airlines when travelling from Sofia outside Europe, when the flight between Sofia and a major connecting point (e.g. Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London or Madrid) is operated by Bulgaria Air and the connecting flight by another airline.

Bulgaria Air also operates a domestic service between Sofia and Varna.

Ticket prices

Average prices for a one-way ticket from Sofia to European destinations are around 180 eur and competition from Ryanair or Wizz Air is usually cheaper.

Tickets can be purchased via air.bg. As KM Malta Airlines flies with competing airlines on most routes, we also recommend using the seller comparison via skyscanner.com search engine, where you should always select by clicking through to the airline's website.

Fare classes

Bulgaria Air offers 2 standard travel classes - economy and business class. The individual classes are then further differentiated into several groups, called fare families.

Since Bulgaria Air has only medium-sized aircraft in their fleet, business class does not have special seats, but only the assurance that no one will sit next to you and better refreshments.

Ticket prices are higher with a higher fare class.

You can see the differences between the different fares in the picture below.
