Air Tanzania allows the carriage of checked baggage on all fares.

You can always take 1 hand luggage + a small personal item on board.

Carry-on baggage

Economy Class passengers have a free cabin baggage allowance of 58 x 38 x 20 cm up to 7 kg.

You can also take 1 small personal item such as a laptop or ladies handbag with this baggage at no extra charge.

The dimensions of the personal item are not specified, but it must fit under the seat in front of you and weigh up to 5 kg (excluding a stroller, wheelchair or crutches).

Checked Baggage

All economy class passengers can take 1 piece of checked baggage up to 23kg on domestic flights and 2 pieces of 23kg each on international flights.

Business class passengers have 2 pieces of 32 kg checked baggage free of charge.

The sum of all checked baggage dimensions should not exceed 158 cm.

Baggage for children

Infants up to 2 years of age can carry strollers and 1 small personal item with necessities for the duration of the flight free of charge.
