When travelling with KM Malta Airlines, you are entitled to a minimum of 1 piece of small hand luggage free of charge.
Hand luggage
On the cheapest Economy Basic and Economy Value fares, you can only carry a small piece of luggage measuring 40 x 34 x 18 cm, which fits under the seat in front of you, free of charge.

Checked baggage
Checked baggage is included in the Econmy Value fare and above. In addition, the allowable checked baggage weights vary by fare.
Specific restrictions on checked baggage are as follows:

Baggage Sharing Policy
If I am travelling with other people, we can add up the weight of the luggage and only check in one suitcase with more than the allowed weight.
No. KM Malta Airlines does not allow baggage sharing between passengers travelling on the same booking.
Baggage for children and pushchairs
KM Malta Airlines carries strollers for small children free of charge. You can check in a folding pushchair, car seat or travel cot free of charge.
Children aged 2 and over are entitled to the same baggage allowance as adults.
Infants up to 2 years old are entitled to 10 kg of checked baggage free of charge, except on the Economy Basic fare, where no baggage is entitled.

According to the airline's website (Cabin Baggage Allowance), the maximum size of a carry-on bag is 40x34x18, not 40x20x25 (i.e. almost a quarter more capacity) and there is no weight limit (while the discussion below says something about 2 kg).

Hi, does anyone have any experience of what baggage policies apply to a flight purchased through Air France when the operating airline is KM Malta? The Air France app says I can have one personal item and one hand luggage for each passenger. This is usually a carry on and a backpack. Flying Blue Silver doesn't seem to cover this, which is fine, but I'd hate to have a problem with carry on luggage.

The answer is surprising - all connecting passengers with KM Malta have their checked baggage included. So in my case, booked as the cheapest fare through Air France and we have each passenger (4) checked in for free. Flying Blue status is not taken into account.

By adding 32kg of extra luggage, am I allowed to take a maximum of 1 piece of 32kg luggage or can the weight be split between several suitcases? For example 2 suitcases of 16kg.

Hello, you can have 1 bag on KM Malta Airlines. The weight cannot be divided between multiple suitcases.
