Two cabin bags of 55 x 40 x 23 cm and 43 x 33 x 16 cm are allowed on all flights. A coat, umbrella or packed food does not count as baggage and you can take them on board as you wish.

For checked baggage , you can check one up to 23kg for free on selected international flights, while on domestic routes and connections from Canada to the US you will pay for a suitcase 25 cad one way, and on routes from Europe 60 cad (€50).

Sporting equipment such as skis or golf bags can be carried free of charge on long-haul flights, even on flights operated by alliance partners Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines or Lufthansa, if the ticket is purchased under an Air Canada flight number. Sports equipment must be checked in at least 24 hours before departure.

Pets are carried for a fee of 56 to 120 cad.
