Over 700 metres long, Platja del Bogatell is one of Barcelona’s most popular beaches and was one of the areas to undergo a major regeneration in the early 1990s in the run-up to the 1992 Olympic Games.

The beach is covered infine, golden sand.

Bogatell Beach is more spacious and slightly quieter than the famous Barceloneta. Bogatell is the ideal beach for a half-day or even a full day’s relaxation close to the heart of the action, yet in the quieter surroundings of the Poblenou residential district.

On the beach you’ll find showers, free toilets and several areas with restaurants.

Location and transport

Bogatell Beach is more or less a continuation of the famous Barceloneta Beach. The two areas are separated only by a small marina called Port Olímpic.

You can get here on foot after a pleasant 2 km stroll along the seafront promenade from the city centre.

However, you can also reach the beach by public transport.
