Rideau Falls

Rideau Falls is a much-touted attraction, and considering it's only a few minutes' walk from the Rideau Hall residence, it's definitely a fun place to visit.
However, we think these falls are quite overrated and if you're not going to Rideau Hall, we'd skip visiting them and focus more on the much more interesting Chaudiere Falls.
The falls form the mouth of the Rideau River into the Ottawa River and create an 11-metre high perpendicular wall of water.
It resembles a curtain, which in French is just called "rideau".
The falls can be reached by taking the Line 9 bus, which runs once every 30 minutes to the central ByWard Market district.
