Ryanair is offering cheap flights from Prague to Trieste in Italy on several dates in October. You can get the cheapest return tickets for 35 eur and you can choose from both week-long stays and long weekends.

The cheapest options are the week-long dates:

• 28 September–5 October for 41 eur
• 2–9 October for 35 eur
• 16–23 October for 35 eur

Long weekends from Friday to Monday are also good value. The flight from Prague departs at 7.50 am and the return flight from Trieste is at 6.50 am:

• 2–5 October for 41 eur
• 9–12 October for 60 eur
• 16–19 October for 57 eur

Trieste itself is a lovely place to spend a few days, and as well as the city centre, it’s well worth a trip to Miramare Castle, the town of Muggia or towards Duino. If you hire a car, you can also add other trips along the coast.
