Thessaloniki is a great choice if you want to combine city life, good food, the sea and an extra day trip. The Meteora monasteries are a brilliant tip – you can set off on a day trip there from Thessaloniki. Be sure to set aside at least one full day for your visit.

Flight times vary quite a bit depending on the dates. For example, from 6 to 13 October, the flight departs from Bratislava at 7.35 am and returns from Thessaloniki at 10.45 am; on other dates, departures or returns are late in the evening.
