Before you travel

A major advantage of flying with Aer Lingus to the US is the advance immigration check, known as ‘Preclearance’, which takes place at Dublin Airport.

You’ll go through immigration checks for entry to the US during your 3-hour stopover in Ireland, and upon arrival in Boston, you can leave the airport straight away without having to wait.

If you travel to the US regularly, you’ll know that you can easily save two hours or more.

Before booking your flights, we recommend checking accommodation prices in Boston. The city is one of the most expensive in the US, so make sure you aren’t unpleasantly surprised by hotel prices when you arrive.
