Starlux Airlines to start flying from Taiwan to Prague: first destination in Europe

Starlux, Airbus A350

Taiwan's modern airline STARLUX will launch the first long-haul service from Taipei to Europe - to Prague.

The route from Taipei TPE airport will be operated by the newest type in the Airbus A350-900 fleet.

The official press release can be found on the Prague Airport website prg.aero.

Flight schedule and ticket prices

Exact flight times have not yet been released, nor have flight prices.

According to Prague Airport, STARLUX Airlines will start flying on 1 August 2026 with a frequency of 3 flights per week, increasing to 4 flights per week from October.

Together with rival direct carrier China Airlines, it will operate up to 6 flights a week between Prague and Taipei.

Not only to Taiwan

We don't know the flight times yet, but it can be assumed that the long-haul route to Prague will be linked to regional services around Asia.

STARLUX Airlines flies from its hub in Taipei to many cities in Japan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau and the Philippines, for example.

First airline in Prague with First Class

STARLUX Airlines will become the first airline to offer first class on all flights to/from Prague on a regular basis, in addition to economy, premium economy and business class.

In the past, it was possible to occasionally book first class on selected Emirates or Korean Air flights to Prague, but these were always only on isolated days, not on a regular basis.
