The medium-sized northern Italian airport of Verona is located near the town of Villafranca, from which it takes its name. Officially, the airport is still called Verona Valerio Catullo.
A single terminal is shared by all flights. The small size and very short distances make the airport clear and very easy to navigate.
It takes about 5-10 minutes to get from the plane outside the terminal if you are travelling with hand luggage only.
One of its bases at the airport is Volotea, whose website volotea.com offers cheap flights around Italy and to several European cities. Flights to several European cities to Verona are also operated by Ryanair, Wizz Air and several other airlines.
