Internet and wi-fi
Wi-fi is free to use with no time limit. Select the "AirportPVG-Free-WiFi" network.
You will need to log in to the internet with a code that you will receive via text message. Therefore, you need to enter a real phone number when logging in. Sms will also arrive without any problem to a foreign phone number.
Alternatively, you can get the code from the automated kiosks located throughout the airport, where you have to scan your passport.

Luggage storage
You can find luggage storage facilities at a total of 4 locations. All branches are open from 6:00-24:00 and prices are the same for all branches.
Depending on the size of your luggage, you can pay for storage up to 24 hours between 25 cny and 45 cny.
- Terminal 1 - Departures Lobby between Entrance Doors 4 and 5
- Terminal 1 - Domestic arrivals hall by door 7
- Terminal 2 - departure hall near check-in counters "A"
- Terminal 2 - international arrivals hall near check-in door 2A
ATMs and exchange offices
There are many exchange offices at the airport, but the exchange rates are not very good.
Much better is withdrawing money from Bank of China ATMs, which allow most foreign cards (such as Revolut) to be withdrawn for free. ATMs are located in many places around the airport.
Shops and supermarkets
Both Terminals 1 and 2 are equipped with a large number of shops selling luxury fashion, jewellery, watches or travel gear.
There are also many duty free shops.
Most of the shops are located after the security checkpoint of both terminals. Most of the shops are open at the times of all departures.

Dining options
Shanghai Airport is well served by local restaurants and international fast-food outlets such as Starbucks, Subway, Costa Coffee and Burger King.
There is more choice after security, but you won't find many restaurants in the international section in particular, and only a minimum of branches remain open overnight.
Most establishments are open from 7am to 10pm.

Drinking water
There are cold and hot drinking water dispensers in all terminals after security check.
You can fill your own bottle for free, which you can carry through security without any problems.
Showers
Public showers are not available at Pudong Airport, and you won't usually find showers in the premium lounges either.
Changing rooms
In the baggage claim belt rooms at both terminals, you'll find rooms dedicated to changing clothes after a long flight.
