Airport lounges

At Fiumicino Airport, you can use lounges with either a paid entry fee or access via bank cards.

Choose according to your departure area: Zone A for flights within Italy and to Schengen countries, Zone E for flights outside the Schengen area. Lounges in Zone E are located beyond passport control.

Depending on your loyalty status, you will also need a valid outbound ticket to gain entry.

ITA Airways Hangar Lounge – T1, Schengen

• Location: Terminal 1, past security, near Zone A, on the upper level.
• Access: eligible Star Alliance Business/First Class passengers, Star Alliance Gold cardholders, and holders of Miles & More Frequent Traveller, Senator or HON Circle status on a qualifying outbound flight. The ITA Short-Haul Business Classic fare does not include access.
• Open: daily 5.30 am–11.00 pm.
• Paid entry: ITA does not sell separate entry to this lounge.

ITA Airways Piazza di Spagna – T3, non-Schengen

• Location: Terminal 3, beyond passport control, in sections E11–E24.
• Access: eligible Star Alliance Business/First Class passengers, Star Alliance Gold members and holders of selected Miles & More statuses; paid access is also available for flights operated by ITA Airways.
• Open: daily 6:00–23:00.
• Paid entry: 54–69 eur in advance or 64–79 eur at the airport, depending on the season, day and fare. For passengers on flights operated by ITA Airways only.

British Airways Lounge – T3, non-Schengen

• Where: Terminal 3, Zone E, beyond passport control.
• Access: eligible oneworld Business/First Class passengers and oneworld Sapphire/Emerald members, including British Airways Silver/Gold members, when travelling on a oneworld flight.
• Open: daily 5.15 am–8.30 pm.
• Paid entry: separate public entry is not available.

Emirates Lounge – T3, outside the Schengen area

• Location: Terminal 3, on the upper level near gates E22–E24.
• Access: eligible Emirates passengers travelling in first/business class and Skywards Gold/Platinum members; other Emirates passengers for a fee.
• Open: subject to Emirates flight schedules
• Paid entry: 125 usd for Skywards members or 155 usd for other passengers, up to 4 hours before departure.

Lounge in the public area

HelloSky Air Rooms & Lounge – temporarily closed

• Location: before security, in a separate building connected to the terminals by a covered walkway.
• Status:the lounge is temporarily closed for refurbishment.

There is no traditional supermarket at Fiumicino Airport. However, you can make use of the many bistros or newsagents offering light snacks and drinks.

Restaurants and shops

In both the public and transit areas of the airport, you’ll find a wide range of restaurants, including well-known fast-food chains as well as eateries serving traditional Italian cuisine.

The airport also offers a wide range of shops. Beyond the security checks, there are several duty-free shops as well as luxury clothing boutiques, souvenir shops and sweet shops.

Most of the shops are located in the shared transit area in front of Gates A and E.

Many travellers will also findthe chemists useful; these are located at the following places:

• the public area of the Terminal 1 departure hall (open 6.00–21.30)
• the public area of the Terminal 3 departure hall (open 6.00–21.00)

Showers

You’ll find a public shower approximately 50 metres from the terminal, near the railway station.

Follow the signs for the train, cross the covered footbridge and follow the signs for “Arrival Lounge & Day Rooms” and the “HelloSky” sign. A shower costs 20 eur, including the hire of toiletries.

It is open daily from 6.00 am to 10.00 pm.

Luggage storage

The luggage storage facility is located in Terminal 3 in the arrivals hall. The price is 10 EUR per 24 hours. It is open from 6.30 am to 11.30 pm.

Drinking water

After passing through security, you can fill your bottle with free cold drinking water at some of the washbasins in the toilets.

Drinking water flows from taps marked with a cup pictogram and the words ‘ "Drinking Water". ’ (Drinking water). Water flowing from taps marked with a hand and water pictogram is not drinkable.
