Getting from Plovdiv Airport
A special airport shuttle bus runs between the airport and Plovdiv city centre for 5 eur.
You can also use classic taxis with prices around 20 eur.
Bus
All regular departures and arrivals are followed by the airport bus - in the centre of Plovdiv, it stops only at the South Bus Station (see map) just next to the railway station and about 1 km from the Old Town.
The bus always goes to the airport about 2.5 hours before the scheduled departure time. From the airport to the city centre the bus always leaves 30 minutes after arrival.
- Price - 5 eur (payable in cash inside the bus)
- Travel time - 20 minutes

- Tip for hotel near the station - A&M Hotel ***
Taxi
There are always plenty of taxi drivers waiting right in the airport concourse offering a ride into town.
We recommend that you go outside the concourse and use the official yellow taxis directly. However, even with these you cannot expect a metered ride, but you must agree on a price with the taxi driver.
The normal price from the airport to the centre of Plovdiv is 20 eur.
Mobile ride-sharing apps like Bolt or Uber don't work in Plovdiv yet.
Car rental
There are several local car rental counters in the terminal. Other multinational car rental companies use a service called Meet & Greet, i.e. a car rental employee will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall with a sign with your name on it.
Prices for a weekly rental are around 125 eur to 200 eur.
