Monastir Habib Bourguiba International Airport in a nutshell

Named after former Tunisian President Habib Bourguiba, the airport is a popular entry point to the Tunisian Riviera and a popular airport for charter flights from tour operators across Europe. The terminal is located between the resorts of Monastir (8 km) and Sousse (20 km).

The airport building remembers the best years quite a long time ago, but it serves its purpose smoothly and the orientation is clear.

Annoyingly, passport control can be lengthy at peak times, when multiple planes descend on Monastir at once and you can spend upwards of 30 minutes in line.

However, after the opening of the new Enfidha NBE airport near the resort of Hammamet (about 63 km north), congestion has improved considerably.

It is open 24 hours a day.
