A purely low-cost airport, sometimes referred to as ‘Munich’, is situated in south-western Bavaria, approximately 115 km west of Munich and 70 km north of Lake Constance. The nearest town, Memmingen, is 4 km from the terminal.

The airport has one small terminal, which is very easy to navigate and offers only basic services. The check-in process is usually quick, and it’s generally sufficient to arrive at the airport 1.5 hours before departure.

Most of the traffic is handled by the low-cost airlines Ryanair and Wizz Air, which offer a wide range of destinations across Europe and North Africa.
