Bus line 630 runs directly to the airport terminal and goes to the south of Graz. There you have to change to tram line 5 in the direction of the historic centre.
About 500 metres from the terminal, you can use the train station, which is crossed by the S5 suburban line to the main station in Graz or to Spielfeld on the Slovenian border.
Train and bus tickets
Fares fall under Styria's integrated transport system "Verbund Linie" and are the same for trains and buses.
Tickets can be purchased from a ticket machine at the train station or from the driver on the bus (cash and card payments are possible). The Verbund Linie mobile app does not allow ticket purchases. All tickets can be used for any number of transfers from trains to other trains, all buses and trams within their time validity.

Train S5
To the station Flughafen Graz-Feldkirchen can be reached from the terminal by a 7-minute walk along the pavement.
The S5 line of the suburban railway "S-Bahn" goes without a transfer to the main station Graz Hbf, where you can change to tram lines 1, 4, 6, 7 in the direction of the historic centre. A slightly faster connection to the city centre is also available with a transfer at Don Bosco station to bus line 33.
On the other hand (southbound), line S5 runs via Lebring or Leibnitz to Spielfeld, where you can change to Slovenian Railways trains to Maribor.

Tickets for suburban trains in and around Graz cannot be bought online, but only at the ticket machines at the stations.
Connections to Slovenia
At Spielfeld or Leibnitz stations, most trains on the S5 line are followed by Slovenian Railways trains to Maribor.
The total journey from the airport takes about 1 hour and costs 13,40 eur. You can buy these tickets from the ticket machine at the station or online via the website oebb.at.
Bus 630
Directly at the terminal you will find the stop of the regional bus line 630 running on the route Graz Zentralfriedhof - Graz Puntigam - Feldkirchen bei Graz - Airport - Kalsdorf.
At the final stop "Graz, Zentralfriedhof" you change to tram line 5 to the historic centre.
Tickets can be bought from the bus driver or on the way out of the centre from the vending machines inside the trams.
