Getting from Goa Dabolim Airport

Dabolim Airport is located on the coast and is accessible by modern air-conditioned airport buses and a large number of taxis.
Public transport - buses
A special airport bus service runs directly outside the terminal.
Tickets can be purchased from the "Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited" kiosk outside the arrivals hall. If the kiosk is closed, tickets can be purchased from the driver in cash.
However, buses only run 4 times a day.

There are local buses stopping on the highway in front of the airport, mainly on the Vasco - Birla - Margao route, but there are no timetables or marked stops and the journey is very confusing this way.
One ride on a local bus costs 30 inr.
Taxi
Ignore any offers from taxi drivers who approach you in the terminal and head to the official counters after you leave the airport building to prepay for a ride.
Local taxi apps are also available:
- Goa Miles - Google Play / App Store
- Goa Taxi - Google Play / App Store
Prices are similar for apps and regular taxis and range in approximate amounts:
- 1 200 inr - Calangute, Baga
- 1 000 inr - Panaji
- 1 200 inr - Beaches around Madgaon / Margao
- 2 200 inr - Goa Manohar Airport
Uber also operates in Goa, but only with expensive premium cars.
About 1 km from the airport is the "Dabolim" railway station, from where you can take the train virtually all over India (with one or more changes).

Dabolim Bus Stop is 1.8 km from the airport.
The centre of Vasco da Gama can be reached via Goa Miles for INR 300.
Around the airport, for example, a local bus runs between Vasco da Gama and Bogmalo Beach, which also takes you to the very nice Naval Aviation Museum. The stops and a few timetables can be found on Google Maps, but of course there is not much reliance on them. Even the place names are mixed up, but Openstreetmap seems to have them right. Some stops are marked on it as well.

Neboli Museu da Aviação Naval.
Are the beaches in Dabolim somewhat comparable to those in Arambol, Agondas, Palolem?
I don't know.🙂

If not the beaches, then perhaps you have at least visited the Portuguese fortresses?! There are many more than just Chapora, Aguada, Reis Magos, Betul, Cabo de Rama.
And perhaps even Goa Velha should not be missed on the Journeys of Vira ...
I will leave the ways of Faith to others. We made it through a few forts. Not much of them survived, especially the walls.
Tickets can also be purchased on the website: https://goakadamba.com/
If you want to travel more frequently in Goa, you can get a card: https://cashless.ktcl.goa.gov.in/
The paragraph on trains is missing a heading. The link to the Indian Railways website is useful only in special cases. Tickets can be bought here: https://www.irctc.co.in/nget/train-search and the very best website about Indian Railways is this one: https://indiarailinfo.com/
It's a pity that Goa doesn't have its own guidebook.
EDIT: I still missed why there's barely any mention of the nearest town, Vasco da Gama, which can be reached not only by local bus but also on foot with a bit of good will.
The journey by local buses between the airport and the resorts of Candolim/Calangute is not that difficult and with a bit of luck it can be done in an hour and a half and under 120 INR. Example: Candolim-bus in Panaji by local bus 40 INR, change to the shuttle to Vasco for 50 INR, which stops on the way first at Chicalim Circle, from where you take the local bus to the airport for 30 INR.
Goa Mies shows >1000 INR for the same taxi journey.
