The brand-new Ramon International Airport was inaugurated in January 2019 and is set to fully replace the outdated Eilat-Ovda Airport, which is served by regular flights from Prague and Bratislava, among others. Compared to Ovda Airport, it is more than twice as close to Eilat, with the terminal about 20 km from the city centre.
The single terminal is small and uncluttered, but you should still arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before departure due to increased security checks.
