The airport is located on the eastern side of the island, about 3.5 km from the village and the port of Ermupoli.
Taxi
Taxis are the main form of public transport going to the airport.
There are always plenty of taxis waiting just outside the arrivals hall after the arrival of each scheduled flight. Some cars are waiting for pre-booked passengers, especially locals, while others are waiting for random passengers.
Should you miss all the taxis waiting for random passengers, the remaining taxi drivers will be happy to call their colleagues and within 20 minutes a taxi will come for you.
Normal prices from the airport are as follows:
- Ermupoli - 7 eur
- Galissa - 15 eur

Car rental
There are local and international rental companies at the airport, the largest of which is Auto Union. If you will be staying on the island for a long period of time, a car is definitely the most convenient transport option.
Weekly rental prices in the summer season start at 335 eur.
Bus
There is no bus service to or near the airport. The only bus service on the island runs 2-3 times a day between Ermupoli, Vari and Galissa.
