Taxi

The only relevant and convenient option is a taxi, which has a fixed price to the centre of Agadir of 200 MAD, however the price may vary according to your bargaining skills, even with official airport taxis.

Transport to Taghazout resort will cost around 400 mad.

If you walk about 300 meters to the roundabout, you can negotiate an even lower price with unofficial taxis.

Mobile apps like Uber or Bolt do not operate in Agadir.

Car rental

If you're heading to Morocco with the aim of travelling around the country, the ideal option is to rent a car directly at the airport, where several local and international rental companies are located in the arrivals hall.

A week's rental costs around 120 eur for local rentals and from 200 eur for larger multinationals.

Bus

The last cheapest option for travel is the local public bus.

Line AE

There is a special airport line, the L-AE, which runs directly to the airport terminal. Official information, basic timetable and current ticket prices can be found on the carrier's website: alsa.ma/en/airport-shuttle.

Line AE runs directly to the centre of Agadir and to the local main beach. The final stop is called "Vallée des oiseaux".

  • Journey time - 60 minutes
  • Frequency - 60 minutes (always at XX:00 from both final stops)
  • First bus from the centre - 4:00
  • Last bus from the airport - 1:00

Fares on the AE line are significantly higher than on other city lines and cost 50 MAD per ride.

Tickets can be purchased inside the bus from the driver or conductor (cash only).

If you will be travelling around Agadir more frequently by bus, consider buying an Ikhlas Card. The card itself costs 15 mad and you charge any amount you want on it, which will be gradually charged each ride.

Simply attach the card to the reader when you board the bus and you won't have to search for cash every time you take the bus. You can purchase an Ikhlas card from the driver (cash only). When you buy, you tell the amount you want to charge to the card.

Line 37

Bus line 37 also runs from the roundabout about 300 metres from the terminal to the transfer terminal in Inezgane on the outskirts of Agadir (near Jihadia-Souk Inezgane market).

The bus runs approximately once an hour between 8:15 and 20:00. The ticket for line 37 costs 5,50 mad.

From Inezgane to the centre of Agadir you can then take lines 26, 98, 97, 99. Each line runs about once every 10 to 30 minutes and the ticket costs 3,50 mad.

In total, the trip from the airport to Agadir by bus with a transfer will take around 70 minutes if you don't have to wait an hour for the bus. The total fare will be 8 mad and is always paid in cash inside the bus.

It should be stressed that the bus journey, especially the timetables, cannot be 100% relied upon .
