Vueling baggage


Flights with Vueling always include one small carry-on bag free of charge. Additional baggage and limits are dependent on additional services or the ticket fare.

Hand luggage

Each passenger travelling with Vueling is entitled to carry 1 piece of hand luggage free of charge. It must meet the following maximum dimensions:

  • 40 x 30 x 20 cm

During the booking process, you have the option to purchase a second larger carry-on bag for a fee of 24 eur to 59 eur depending on the route and distance. Usually on European flights you will not pay more than 30 eur.

Larger hand luggage

If you have paid for a second hand luggage or purchased tickets on a TimeFlex fare, you are entitled to carry 2 pieces of hand luggage. In addition, you have a baggage size of:

  • 55x40x20 cm and 10 kg.

You can take this baggage on board or check it in for free at the airport.

If you are flying with children under 2 years of age, you are entitled to a larger carry-on bag and one additional bag up to 5 kg free of charge.

Checked baggage

Checked baggage carriage is free for passengers on the Optima or Family plan. Others must purchase checked baggage as an additional service. There are several weight limits to choose from:

Checked baggage dimensions must not exceed 158 cm (height x depth x length). The overweight fee is 12 eur per kilogram and the resulting weight must not exceed 32 kg per bag.

Each passenger may purchase a maximum of one piece of luggage per weight limit.

Strollers for children

Strollers are always checked in free of charge for children. When travelling with small children under 2 years of age, Vueling will offer free carriage of these carry-on bags in addition:

  • larger hand luggage up to 10 kg.
  • a smaller bag for a child up to 5 kg

In addition, you can also carry a travel cot or baby carrier free of charge for children under 2 years old. A car seat is checked in for a fee.
