SunExpress baggage
Baggage allowances on SunExpress airlines vary depending on the fare purchased. In most cases, passengers have both carry-on and checked baggage included in the ticket price.
Hand luggage
Passengers on SunExpress flights always have 1 piece of hand luggage, either smaller or larger depending on the fare.
The SunLight fare is only available on selected flights, and includes a small carry-on bag measuring 40 x 30 x 20 cm and 4 kg. However, you'll virtually always have tickets on the higher SunEco, SunClassic or SunPremium fares, which entitle you to a larger carry-on bag measuring 55 x 40 x 23 cm and weighing 8 kg.
- 40 x 30 x 20 cm and 4 kg for the SunLight fare
- 55 x 40 x 23 cm and 8 kg for SunEco, SunClassic or SunPremium fares
If you are flying on holiday with a travel agent, in the vast majority of cases you will have the SunEco tariff.
Checked baggage
As in the above case, the weight limit will depend on the fare you choose. The only case where you will not have checked baggage included is on the SunLight fare.
If you purchase a SunLight fare, you can add a 10kg bag during the booking process for 15 eur. A 15kg bag already costs 20 eur, which is always the difference between SunLight and SunEco. If you want to travel with luggage heavier than 15 kg, it is always worth buying the SunEco fare straight away.
For all other fares you have at least 20 kg regardless of the number of suitcases.
The weight limits are best summarised in the table below:
| Destinations | SunLight | SunEco | SunClassic | SunPremium |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| International Lines - Antalya, Alanya, Bodrum, Dalaman | - | 20 kg | 25 kg | 30 kg |
| Other international lines | - | 30 kg | 35 kg | 40 kg |
| Domestic lines | - | 15 kg | 20 kg | 25 kg |
If you are flying with a connecting flight, the international flight limit always applies.
The permitted dimensions are classical in the form of the sum of all sides (height x depth x length) with a maximum dimension of 158 cm. If your baggage is larger, there is a charge 45 eur. For each kilogram over the weight allowance, there is a charge 10 eur.
If you have purchased a travel package through a travel agent, checked baggage is usually always included.
Strollers for children
When travelling with small children, you are entitled to free carriage of a pushchair, car seat and travel cot. All items must be checked in at the departure desk.
The pushchair can then be handed in at check-in or just before boarding.
In addition, children under the age of 2 are automatically entitled to 20 kg of checked baggage regardless of the fare you are travelling on.
Carriage of animals
SunExpress allows the carriage of animals in the cabin and below deck. It is necessary to request a transport reservation at least 3 days before departure, but ideally immediately with or after the purchase of the ticket.
The price for transporting an animal is as follows:
- weight up to 8 kg - transported in the cabin for 60 eur
- weight over 8 kg - carried in the hold from 85 eur
The weight is calculated including the crate for the dog, cat or other animal. At the same time, the crate for carriage in the cabin must meet the dimensions of hand luggage.

Hello,
Can I take a rucksack (under 4kg) + a cabin bag (under 8kg) with me?
Hello, the details are described above. If you have SunEco, SunClassic, SunPremium fares, then you can take a 4kg backpack + 8kg hand luggage.
Can I take a bike in addition to the specified package (SunLIght)?
Yes, you can pay extra for a bike - from €50 if you book online or €70 if you pay at the airport: https://www.sunexpress.com/en-gb...l-baggage/
Not a bike! A side bag, a small bag for the stupid things
Oh, you can't get the extra small bag on the SunLight plan. It only includes the small bag (40x30x20 cm).
Hello, is a cpap considered as luggage?
Hello, the common practice is that cpap is not considered luggage - so it can be transported free of charge.
Mr. Hájek, it would be a good idea to give truthful information if you want to help someone. Optimally, you should refer them to ask or look up information on the website of a particular airline. I assume that if we are in the SunExpress section, he is interested in transporting a CPAP machine on that airline.
And the latter is that the transportation of the CPAP machine is free, but subject to conditions. SunExpress requires you to report the transportation of medical equipment at least 48 hours before departure. They will ask you to report the model of the device and its dimensions. You must be prepared to present a medical certificate in English at the airport.
Each low-cost airline has different conditions. For example, Ryanair will issue one certificate valid for one year. WizzAir for each flight separately (they require a medical certificate on their form). But they always want to report it in advance. This is valid if you want to have it as free baggage. If you take the device in paid or allowed carry-on baggage there is no need to report in advance.
On standard airlines like Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, Emirates they will take your CPAP machine for free as an additional carry-on bag.
