Sky Express baggage
When travelling with Sky Express, you are entitled to free carriage of a minimum of 2 pieces of hand luggage or 1 standard cabin bag and 1 personal item.
Carry-on baggage
Although Sky Express mainly emphasises the weight allowance for cabin baggage on its website, it is usually the dimensions that are checked at airports.
The exact dimensions can only be found broken down at the bottom of this page: skyexpress.gr/fare-types.
The permitted dimensions of a standard cabin bag are 55 x 40 x 23 cm in all fare classes. The maximum weight allowance is 8 kg, while in BLISS class a hand luggage can weigh 13 kg.
The dimensions of personal items that you can carry in addition to your hand luggage are not specified. However, the luggage must fit easily under the seat in front of you, i.e. for example a small rucksack, laptop bag or handbag.
If you are flying on a small ATR aircraft, your hand luggage may be removed just before boarding and placed in the hold free of charge. You can then collect your luggage immediately after deplaning on the tarmac.
On all flights, you can therefore always carry this luggage on board:
- Standard carry-on - 55 x 40 x 23 cm
- 1 personal item that must fit under the seat in front of you
- The total weight of both items must not exceed 8 kg, or 13 kg for the BLISS fare
Checked baggage
Checked baggage is included in the ticket price only on the following fares:

I have booked a flight with a 15kg baggage allowance. Does this mean that I can only take 15kg in total? Or can I check in 15kg of luggage and take a piece of hand luggage?
Read it again.
The 15 kg limit applies to checked baggage.
So you can have hand luggage up to 8 kg (or if you have a BLISS ticket, then the limit is 15 kg). But Sky Express mainly check dimensions for hand luggage, rarely weight.
What is the size of the checked baggage in the sky joy + fare? (i.e. 15kg} Is this baggage taken into the hold?
Yes, checked baggage is always taken in the hold. The sum of all dimensions should not exceed 156 cm, but the weight is particularly important.
