SCAT Airlines is one of the carriers that allow free check-in at the airport.

Check-in at the airport

Check-in at the airport counter is free of charge for SCAT Airlines.

The opening and closing times of the counters are as follows:

• 3 hours before international departure the counter opens, for domestic departures the counter opens 2 hours before departure
• 60 minutes before departure, the counter closes

Online check-in

You can check in online 24 hours before departure via checkin.scat.kz in the comfort of your home.

Online check-in is not yet available via the mobile app.

If you are travelling with hand luggage only, you do not need to visit the counter at the airport at all. Proceed straight to security and passport control.

Selecting a seat (seating)

Do you want a window seat or, on a long flight, do you prefer an aisle seat so you can stretch out undisturbed at any time?

You can only choose a seat in the last 3 rows for free.

There is a fee for selecting a seat in the front between 4 eur and 8 eur depending on the specific route.

If you do not select a seat, you will be assigned a random seat for free.

My tip: on an empty flight, it is possible to purchase your own three-seater. In any section of the plane, 14 usd is standing and the first 3 rows are standing 25 usd. We took advantage of this on a very long flight from Hainan, China via Bishkek to Prague and it was definitely worth it. The flight took over 13 hours and we had our own three rows for less than 50 usd total.
