We have traveled with Porter Airlines a total of 4 times and each time chose a different type of check-in. What was our experience?

Check-in at the airport

Porter Airlines does not charge for airport check-in, so you can check in for free, including printing your boarding pass.

Check-in opens 2 hours before departure and closes 45 minutes before departure.

Check-in queues tend to be short. Firstly, Porter Airlines aircraft have a relatively small capacity and secondly, there are always at least 4 desks open.

Online check-in

Online check-in speeds up the process if you are not travelling with checked baggage.

In this case, you can head straight to security at the airport and just show your boarding pass on your mobile phone or printed on paper from home.

Online check-in is available 24 hours before departure.

Seat selection

If you want a window seat, you can choose a specific seat for a fee.

The fee is the same during ticket purchase and online check-in and varies between 20 cad and 42 cad depending on the length of the itinerary.

If you do not select a seat, you will be assigned a random seat for free.
