Checked baggage

Checked baggage is not included on the cheapest Basic and Light fares on any route. On the other hand, Standard and Flex fares already include checked baggage up to 23 kg.

One piece of luggage must always be no more than 23 kg and the sum of its dimensions should not exceed 158 cm.

What is the price of checked baggage?

With KLM, it is always worth buying the more expensive Standard fare with your checked baggage already included. Compared to the Light fare, the price of the Standard fare is higher by approximately the following amounts:

  • 60 eur for long-haul flights (from Europe to another continent)
  • 30 eur up to 35 eur for flights within Europe

In the case of a connecting ticket, i.e. with 2 or more flights, the price always increases for the direction only, not for each flight separately.

Strollers and baby equipment

You can always carry one child for free on all KLM flights on all fares:

  • Stroller - you take it to the boarding gate where it will be collected by staff, and it will be available again immediately upon deplaning upon arrival.
  • Baby seat or baby carrier (the carrier must be checked as baggage, the baby seat must not)
