The new Cypriot airline, Cyprus Airways, is based on the original airline of the same name, which went bankrupt in 2015. In 2017, however, it was relaunched under the official name "Charlie Airlines", but externally they act as Cyprus Airways. So far it flies two Airbus A319s from its base at Larnaca airport.
The planes are recognisable at a glance by the olive branch, the national symbol of Cyprus, on the tailplane.
