Batik Air allows free carriage of at least 1 piece of hand luggage size 56x36x23 cm + one small personal fare on all fares.

Checked baggage is not included in the cheapest Super Saver fare.

Hand luggage

Cabin baggage must meet the dimensions 56 x 36 x 23 cm and weigh up to 7 kg. Economy Class passengers (all fares) are entitled to carry 1 piece of standard cabin baggage.

In addition to this baggage, you can bring one of the following items on board free of charge:

• a small handbag
• a laptop bag
• a coat or umbrella
• a small bag with supplies for a small child under 2 years old

Business class passengers can take 2 pieces of luggage, each of which must meet the maximum dimensions of 56 x 36 x 23 cm and weigh up to 10 kg.

Checked baggage

Passengers with the cheapest ticket on the "Super Saver" fare do not have the option to check in any baggage free of charge. Exceptions are certain international destinations.

Checked baggage can be purchased in the third step after filling in your personal details. However, if you know from the start that you want to travel with checked-in baggage, we recommend that you purchase the more expensive "Value" fare right away.

Batik Air has a policy called. weight conceptwhich means that passengers can take the number of kilograms listed below for free, regardless of the number of bags. You can have up to 3 bags, as long as all of them together have the specified weight.

Overweight charges

Every checked baggage is weighed and the weight is strictly enforced.

If you exceed the permitted limit, you will be charged for every additional 1 kg. Amounts vary according to the specific route and range from 10 usd on the shortest routes to 20 usd on long routes.

Baggage for children

You can always take a pushchair on board free of charge.

The stroller will be taken directly to the aircraft where it will be collected and checked into the aircraft baggage compartment free of charge.

You can pick up the stroller again immediately after deplaning.

Children under 2 years of age are entitled to carry a bag with basic baby essentials in addition to their adult hand luggage.
