Bangkok Airways is a smaller private airline in Thailand with its main base in Bangkok and on the island of Koh Samui, where the airline has even built its own airport and only in recent years has allowed other airlines to operate there.

For several years in a row, Bangkok Airways has held very high ratings from passengers, with international rating company Skytrax describing the airline as 4*, the second highest quality rating.
