North Korea's flag carrier is probably the most exotic airline you can fly. It currently operates 4 scheduled international routes to Beijing, China, Shanghai and Shenyang, and Vladivostok, Russia.

Air Koryo has long been rated as the world's worst airline and is the only airline to achieve a 1* SKYTRAX rating.

Passengers complain about the quality of the food, the two-hour North Korean propaganda and the somewhat older aircraft from manufacturers Tupolev and Antonov. Hand on heart, these are exactly the reasons why you shouldn't want to fly with them.

Air Koryo is blacklisted by the European Union and banned from flying into the EU.
