Bus company VY Bus4You has announced a new direct connection from Gothenburg to the mountain resort of Sälen.

The service will operate from 4 December to 19 April 2026 and will run on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The journey time from Gothenburg to the first stop in Sälen will be 7 hours.

One-way tickets cost 449 sek and can be purchased directly from the website bus4you.se. The price includes hand luggage and a 25 kg suitcase. Transporting a ski bag costs 99 sek.

In Sälen itself, the bus will stop at a total of 12 locations to achieve maximum comfort and to drop you off near your accommodation - a range of available hotels. On the other hand, you can start your journey to the mountains not only from the central bus station in Gothenburg, but also towns along the way such as Trollhättan, Åmål, Säffle or Torsby.
